Offering 2 dives at different sites in the lagoon and/or ocean, this half-day discovery of scuba diving in Tahiti is the ideal activity if you want to enjoy the underwater world of French Polynesia without having had any diving training. Requiring only a first dive in the 6 months prior to the experience, this outing will allow you to discover some incredible dive sites in Tahiti with an instructor who will ensure your safety (maximum 2 divers per instructor).

This discovery of scuba diving in Tahiti focuses on the pleasure of diving and the observation of underwater life: the instructor will provide you with a reminder of the basics of the discipline, but the experience will concentrate mainly on discovering the environment and its inhabitants! You will have the opportunity to dive in Tahiti's lagoon and/or in the ocean, depending on the weather conditions of the day and your desires, and so set off to encounter wrecks and fish at sites accessible to your beginner level.

Practical information

Outing including 2 discovery dives in Tahiti, at 2 different sites in the lagoon and/or ocean, up to a depth of 6 metres maximum.

Course of events

- Welcome at the dive centre in Puna'auia (free parking provided on the marina, right next to the centre)

- Preparation of equipment and boarding of the boat

- Sailing to the first dive site (15 minutes on average)

- Safety briefing and launch for 20 to 30 minutes of immersion

- Return to the boat, sailing to the second dive site and 30 to 45 minutes break

- Briefing and launch for another 20 to 30 minutes of immersion

- Return to the boat and debriefing before returning to the centre

Activity requirements

A first dive certificate is required to partake in the activity.

You don't need to be able to swim to take part in this activity.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Special terms

If you would like a transfer to and from the dive centre, please contact the dive centre directly once your booking has been confirmed.

It is possible to join the activity as a companion, without taking part in the snorkelling while remaining on board the boat: to do this, please make a request directly to the instructor once your booking has been confirmed. You will then have to pay on-site 3,900 xpf for your place on board.
