The second part of the canyon of Rots de Balme canyon is an introduction to canyoning, and therefore ideal for families with children aged 8 and over. It is a descent of a beautiful mountain stream with many small obstacles to cross by sliding or rappelling.
Programme:
Your Speraka instructor will meet you at the arrival of the canyon on a parking lot near a bridge over the Ruisseau des Rots. He gives you the equipment and the basic instructions and then you go on an approach walk of about 15 minutes.
You wear your suit, harness, and helmet at the departure of the canyon. The descent starts with a waterfall that you abseil down, followed by a small toboggan. Then a walk in the river leads you to small obstacles which are easy to cross. You then come out on a second waterfall that you also abseil down and that opens in a basin.
The route ends with a series of fun slides that take you to the car park.
