Hire a canoe and enjoy a family excursion on the Gave d'Oloron from Sorde-l'Abbaye!
With friends or family, explore the Gave d'Oloron in the Pyrenees on a calm water canoe trip of about 1 hour 45 minutes or a white water trip of 1 hour 30 minutes or the whole day.
The Gave d'Oloron is a river formed in Oloron-Sainte-Marie by the confluence of the Gaves d'Aspe and Ossau. It flows for 80 km and joins the Gave de Pau upstream of Peyrehoarde, forming together the "Gaves réunis", 149.1 km long.
For the white water descent, you will be transported to the starting point and will take advantage of some rapids and white pebble beaches to picnic and swim. You will also discover the "little Amazon" on the final part of the course.
On the site, the food truck "le canotier" is set up on the banks of the Gave in a quiet area. It offers fast food at lunchtime and in the evening during the opening period of the canoe base.
A picnic area and a free car park are at your disposal.
