TransPyr 66 takes you to Cerdanya, in the heart of the Pyrénées Orientales, to introduce you to the ancient practices of bushcraft.

The Bushcraft arrives in Cerdanya! This magnificent natural region is situated to the east of the Pyrenees. It is shared equally between Spain and France. It is here that your mountain leader will take you on a Bushcraft survival course.

Bushcraft "or the art of the woods" can also be translated as "bushcraft". This corresponds to all the skills and techniques used in natural environments to live and not survive. The term originates from the great exploration of Africa by English adventurers.

Very popular in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, the Bushcraft has gained popularity in many parts of the world. In the northern hemisphere there are popular programs such as "man vs wild", which travels around the planet and attract more and more people to the practice of Bushcraft and survival in general.

Traditional Bushcraft, in this case, is a practice that mixes primitive or ancestral tools and techniques for a simpler and more original approach to nature. The material used is above all rustic and handcrafted using all the resources that nature has to offer!

The aim of this mountain workshop is to bring you knowledge with "tips and tricks" in a simple and friendly way, in a total respect of nature. It will give you autonomy in all situations, whatever the season and who knows, maybe one day you will be able to save your life in an extreme situation.

Bushcraft skills include: making fire, identifying edible wild plants, filtering water, hunting, fishing, using tools, working with wood, making ropes and much more. Each season in the mountains brings its own set of challenges. You and your guide will look for a solution adapted to the climatic conditions to eat, make fire, find water, etc.

You can choose between different options, each lasting half a day.
