This canyon without ropes in the Gorges de la Dourbie is an outdoor activity to share with family or friends in the heart of the Cévennes National Park. It is accessible to all, even children from the age of 12! Moreover, it is not necessary to know how to swim perfectly to take part in this canyon as the neoprene suits provided will allow you to float effortlessly. However, you must be able to immerse yourself for a short time underwater.
Our partner provides you with all the necessary equipment to practice canyoning in the Gorges de la Dourbie. The instructors will be with you during the descent to guide you and advise you if necessary. If you want to learn how to jump correctly and to learn how to swim in white water, they will be there to help you to meet all your challenges!
Small or big jumps, swimming, floating and slides, all means are good to follow the Dourbie river! Jumps are never compulsory, and you can pass the canyon obstacles in different ways. You can even bypass some of them, which makes this canyoning course very accessible!
Enjoy swimming in the crystal clear water of the canyon of the Dourbie springs, one of the most beautiful high rivers in France located near Millau. The Dourbie is punctuated by superb landscapes and picturesque buildings such as the Corp mill, the Roque-Sainte-Marguerite, the gateway to the canyon, or the perched hamlet of Saint-Véran.

Practical information
- The approach walk to the starting point of this canyoning descent lasts 10 minutes. Once all the safety instructions have been given by the instructor, you will be ready to start the activity!
- The first part of the canyon of the Gorges de la Dourbie is made of small jumps up to 9 meters. You will then follow numerous slides, floats and small siphons. The obstacles are not compulsory.
- You will then cross obstacles such as elbow breaks, communicating basins, giant potholes, a giant jack and even bubble bazaar.
- After a last swim in the pools, you will start a comfortable 40 minutes walk back along an old channel.
Knowing how to swim, immerse yourself and put your head under water are compulsory for this activity.
