The cave of Cordier has become a very popular route for cavers to join the network of Foussoubie. Second longest karstic network of Ardèche, the network of Foussoubie counts at present 23 km of underground galleries. A real geological and mineral sanctuary, you will find crystallizations, vast rooms, chaos of blocks and underground rivers.
Intended for sportsmen, the Cordier itinerary offers a rather technical course. Fun and aquatic, it gathers all the ingredients of sport caving: narrow passages, passages in pools, and abseiling. Accompanied by a state-qualified instructor, enjoy the impressive galleries and numerous rooms of the Foussoubie network and learn the history of these caves. - Meeting point on the Parking 15 All. de L'école, 07150 Salavas.
- Equipment set up by your instructor.
- 30 minutes walk to reach the cave.
- Briefing by your instructor on the activity, the equipment and the safety rules.
- Introductory caving session: abseiling, narrow passages, passages in pools.
- 20-minute walk back to the meeting point.
It is imperative to be in good physical condition to do this activity.
