This one-day snowshoe hike on the Sous-Dîne mountain is designed for people with previous mountain hiking experience and will take you to an altitude of 2,000 metres, over a vast plateau with magnificent panoramic views of the surrounding area. Depending on the pace of your private group of just you and your family/friends, you will walk for between 5 and 6 hours on the snowy paths of this natural site, which is less than an hour's drive from Annecy.
This snowshoe hike on the Sous-Dîne mountain is led by a mountain guide who knows the area inside out. The tour begins with a steady climb up to the Col d'Enclave, then continues through the forest, gradually giving way to a more mineral environment. Finally, you will reach the mountain plateau, where breathtaking views of Mont Blanc and the Jura and Aravis ranges await you! This is also the ideal place to enjoy a picnic break before heading back to the hamlet of Mont Piton.

Practical information
Private group tour: you will be accompanied only by your loved ones and the guide
- Meeting with your guide in the Cheneviers car park
- Equipment of the snowshoes and briefing on the tour and safety instructions
- Departure for a 5 to 6-hour snowshoe hike on the Sous-Dîne mountain (loop with 900 metres of positive and negative gradient)
- Return to the starting point, removal of your snowshoes and end of the activity
Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
You need to have already done some mountain hiking to take part.
You will need snowshoes and walking poles to take part in this activity: you can rent the equipment on site for around €10. Alternatively, the guide has 4 pairs of snowshoes and poles that he can lend you: please contact him once your booking has been confirmed to see if they are still available.
