Sea Kayaking tour at the Pink Lagoon from Elafonisi

Explore the tiny and beautiful Elafonisi island close to Crete with a sea kayak excursion!

Location
Located 75 km from Chania Elafonisi is a tiny island, divided from the Cretan shore by a lagoon. There are only a small number of pink beaches scattered throughout the world. They owe their exquisite color to tiny oysters named Foraminifera, which are red shells that are crushed in the sand, giving it a pink color.

Program
We set off from Kissamos and drive on scenic coastal roads for approximately an hour. We get to a pebbly beach where we leave land and launch for our adventure.

We take advantage of the sit-on-tops and jump in the blue element. We put our masks and snorkels and go in the calm sea coastal lakes, or we dive in the shallow turquoise waters among the maze of rocks. And when we get near Elafonissi we can swim in the colorful sheltered lagoon.

We land in Elafonissi, walk on the pink-sand shores and snack in the shade of the juniper trees among the sand dunes before driving back home.
