Trekking Lefka Ori Mountains in Crete

Some of the most beautiful mountainous scenery in Europe can be found right here in the Lefka Ori mountains. You will explore these relatively unwalked paths with stunning views, natural beauty, and geological interest points.

The Lefka Ori occupy a large part of the west Cretan region and consist mainly of limestone from light grey to blue or black hues. They are known as the White Mountains because of their perpetual year-round white peaks (off-white from the limestone in summer and white from the snow in the fall and winter).

This trekking journey will last about four hours with a 30-minute prep on safety precautions and a rundown of what to expect.
