Accompanied by an experienced guide, set off on a superb day to discover ski touring near Quebec City, in the snowy slopes of Jacques-Cartier National Park. For 6 hours (excluding lunch break), you will be introduced to this skiing discipline requiring a good level of practice (being at ease on red and/or black slopes). The guide will first introduce you to the equipment provided (excluding ski helmets, which you will have to bring yourself) and teach you the basic techniques before setting off for your day of ski touring in Jacques-Cartier National Park, north of Quebec City.
Over the course of the morning, you will familiarise yourself with your equipment, first on a trail to learn how to get around, then on a series of off-piste ascents and descents in the enchanting setting of the snow-covered national park. You will discover the incredible sensations of this sport which allows you to enjoy the pleasures of skiing off the slopes, away from the crowded ski lifts: a real getaway combining sport and nature! You will also have the pleasure of taking a warm lunch break in a refuge before putting your skis back on for the afternoon, and ending your day discovering ski touring off the slopes in Jacques-Cartier National Park.

Practical information
Near Quebec City, a skiing adventure awaits you! Try your hand at off-piste ski touring, alternating between ascents and descents for an enjoyable sporting experience in the heart of the snow-covered landscapes of Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier.
- Meeting with the guide at the national park reception pavilion
- Presentation of the ski touring equipment, then technical training before the first test of your skis
- Start of the day's off slopes skiing, alternating between ascents and descents
- Lunch break in a heated refuge before returning to the national park reception area on a flat trail along the river
- De-equipping and end of the activity
A good level of skiing (comfortable on red and/or black slopes) is required to partake in the activity.
You need a ski helmet to take part: you can rent one for the day ($10) directly from the Quatre Natures website.
Shuttle transfers from Quebec City are not provided: if you need a transfer from Quebec City to the national park, please contact the guide directly once your booking has been confirmed to arrange the transfer.
Quatre Natures believes that there is no such thing as bad weather in winter. The activity always takes place. In the event of a situation where the temperature is extreme (-45 C⁰) or the amount of snow is not adequate, the Quatre Natures team will contact you directly.
If necessary, you can rent winter clothing directly from Quatre Natures website.
