To begin your white water rafting experience on the Salzach River, you will meet your experienced and certified guides at the BAC (Best Adventure Company) activity base, located not too far from Salzburg. From there you will receive a safety and activity briefing to make sure you will be confident out on the water. Then, you will be taken to the raft launch site and equipped with helmets, life vests, wetsuits, and neoprene booties to make sure you are safe and warm during the rafting. After all that, it will finally be time to begin your white water rafting adventure on the Salzach River, from Eschenau to Schwarzach!
The best time for seasoned rafters to experience the Salzach is in the springtime, right after the snowmelt brings lots of water into the river.
